Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Faithful Notes collects only what is needed to give you an account and keep your notes available across your devices. That means the account details you provide, the content you choose to save in the app, and basic technical information your browser or device sends when it connects to our service.

We do not buy personal information about you from other companies, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

2. Account information

When you create an account you provide an email address and a password. Your password is stored only in an encrypted (hashed) form, so it cannot be read by us. You may also choose to add a display name. If you sign in through another provider, we receive the basic profile information that provider shares with us, such as your email address.

3. Notes and user content

Sermon notes, Scripture highlights, prayer requests, and anything else you write in Faithful Notes belong to you. This content is private to your account by default. It is not published, shared with other users, or used for advertising.

Members of our team do not read your content in the ordinary course of running the service. We may access an account's data only when it is necessary to fix a technical problem you report to us, or when we are legally required to do so.

4. Cloud storage and syncing

Your notes are saved to your device so you can keep writing without a connection, and they are stored on our hosted servers so they can sync to your other devices when you sign in. Information is encrypted while it travels between your device and our servers.

5. Analytics

We use only basic, aggregated measurements of how the app and this website are used, such as page loads and error reports, so we can find problems and improve the app. This information is not used to build an advertising profile of you, and it is never combined with the contents of your notes.

6. Cookies

The app and this website use cookies and similar browser storage for essential purposes only: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and letting the app work offline. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Data security

Access to accounts is protected by passwords, connections are encrypted in transit, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. No online service can promise perfect security, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep it private.

8. Data deletion

You can delete individual notes at any time from inside the app. If you want your entire account and all of its content removed, email us and we will delete it. Once deleted, your content is removed from our active systems and is cleared from routine backups within a short retention period, after which it cannot be recovered.

9. Children's privacy

Faithful Notes is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know inside the app or by email. Continuing to use Faithful Notes after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
